Teaching
Teaching and coaching are two of my biggest passions. I started teaching privately during my undergraduate studies, and have continued to teach privately and in schools ever since.

The two instruments I am in a position to teach at any level are the Flute, for which I attained a BMus at Trinity Laban, and Bass Guitar, for which I have attained a PGDip at the same university. I can also teach Music Theory to a high level. However I have experience in teaching 1 – 1 clarinet, saxophone and ukulele at a beginner level and guitar, piano and recorder up to intermediate level. You’re never too old to learn a musical instrument and have had students aged from early years to much older but with recorder and ukulele in particular, I have experience in teaching from as young as 4 in groups at schools across London.
My approach to teaching is primarily based on the core techniques and building a foundation upon which students can grow and develop as a musician. I believe every student is different and with that in mind, I make it my priority to gear lessons and content to each student personally. The most important thing when teaching a musical instrument is keeping the lessons fun and enjoyable. Enjoyment is the first and foremost the reason why us musicians do what we do!
